I'm so bored. I did not go anywhere today. Not at all ... it's raining outside and I was being such a baby. *boohoo* Rendang baru bikin kemaren sudah habbeesss ... nasi juga haabbbeeesss... mo masak malesssshhhh.... hehehe. Niat sih tadi udah defrost ayam, dll. We ended up ordering pizza. Yum! The pizza we had was so good. Tadinya mau order online taunya Pizza Hut di deket rumah gue belom bisa terima on-line order. Bete gak seh! kan kalo nelpon musti nyatet telponnya dulu ... dial nomernya ... trus bilang halo. Kalo online kan enak tuh tinggal click2 trus nunggu deh. Maklum deh hari ini kan Friday lowh... kalo lagi libur tuh haram hukumnya kalo tidak malas. Hehehe just kidding.. I'm just exaggerating .. I'm not that bad! Anyway, this is what we ordered: one large stuffed crust pizza, with green peppers, red onion, pineapple, half chicken, and half beef. Kayaknya yang took our order mikirnya ini buat feed at least 3 people tapi ternyata 2 orang saza. Heheheh... I'm giving up on my diet. Screw it!

GoinG To The Ball Game

Yabba Dabba Dazzle ... Emil got two tickets to the Spurs game on March 1st. Oh .. I am so thrilled! Although I don't care much about Spurs, however I really don't wanna miss out David Robinson's last games. From what I heard this is gonna be his last season. I'm not sure whether his decision is final. I just think that it's about time for him to framed his jersey and leave the court... cause he's getting old! But hey.. who knows. He might return to the court for another season. Well we'll see.

Anyway, the Spurs is scheduled to play against Sacramento Kings . HA HA !!!! I'm gonna be there.... watch ... cheers for KINGS and see them beat the hell out of SPURS. I do wanna see that happen. Bibby, Webber, Jackson, Stojakovic, Christie, Turkoglu, Divac .. they all better not dissapoint me or else, I won't die happy.

Uhm... speaking about the game, I think my boss might go and see that game, too. She told me that her brother is one of the VP for Spurs and he always got her tickets (VIP seat) to any Spurs games she wish to see. You lucky b&*%$! Heheheh... naaahhh I'm kidding. She ain't no b&#%$. She's actually the best female boss I've ever had. I'm just jealous, can't u tell!?!

To KINGS

My blog is getting crowded. It seems like I'm trying to squeeze my whole world into a single page. I'm currently building my index page. What's missing is the idea. I've tried several different things but nothing seems catchy or unique.

The Life of David Gale

This movie is the first on my "what's next" list and it opens tomorrow, February 21, 2003. I haven't really heard a lot of buzz about this movie although I heard that some scenes were taken here in Austin. Directed by Alan Parker (Evita, Angela's Ashes) with an A-list casts in his crew such as Kevin Spacey (American Beauty, L.A. Confidential), Kate Winslet (Titanic), and Laura Linney (The Truman Show), this movie is expected to hit the Top 10 list. According to movie critics, the story is entirely fictional but Kevin Spacey is able to live it up and convince the audience to assume that it's based on a true story.

David Gale is a man who has tried to live by his principles, but in a bizarre twist of fate this devoted father, popular professor and respected death penalty opponent finds himself on Death Row for the rape and murder of fellow-activist Constance Hallaway. With only three days before his scheduled execution, Gale agrees to give reporter Elizabeth "Bitsey" Bloom the exclusive interview she has been chasing. But Bitsey soon realises that this assignment is more than she bargained for, and that a man's life is in her hands. Putting her own safety in jeopardy, she frantically races to piece together the shocking events surrounding Constance's death, before it's too late.

Sounded amazing. Well we'll see tomorrow.

It's 3 am and I'm wide awake. Feeling so bored! I know I should just go to bed but I'm not tired nor sleepy. I wonder what I could do with my time. I've finished reading "lord of the ring: the return of the king" a week ago and I haven't had time to visit any book shop lately. Uhm. ... Should I go to Barnes & Noble this afternoon? Let's see ... i'm off work and it's supposed to rain today. Hehehe.. I know they don't really make a connection. But put it this way ... I'd spend the afternoon reading books at Barnes & Noble coffee shop, sipping my warm soy latte with hazelnut syrup ... while it's raining outside. Now... doesn't it sound like a perfect combination?

Hhmm... *flipping through my Glamour magazine (March issue) ... snacking ... smoking ... and typing* Look what I found. An article about 14 things yous should know by now. This is interesting. According to Glamour, those 14 things are:

1. That the words"easy"and "weight loss" do not belong in the same sentence. - Hello ... you think anything fat free taste good? HELL NO!
2. That when someone asks whether they look OK, the only accpetable answer is yes. - I dare you to say no ... hehehe.
3. That you can fight with your boss .. but you can't win.
4. That those people on TV whose lives always look so effortlessly great? They're not real.
5. That you should never, ever feel self-conscious in bed - even with the lights on.
6. That there is very little in life that can't be undone.
7. That please and thank you actually are magic words.
8. That you may not always find true love, and you definitely won't always have awesome sex. But you can always get a great massage.
9. That it's not worth trying to make spaghetti sauce that tastes better than the stuff in aisle 3. - Nothing works like Prego
10. That sitting quietly by yourself is doing something
11. That (a) models have cellulite too, and (b) 99% of men couldn't care less about it. Why should you?
12. That if he really loves you, he'll be good to you.
13. That if you're capable of being happy "someday", you're capable of being happy right now.
14. That you know what to do. You may just be scared to do it. (But don't let that stop you!)

Just thought I'd share it with you guys. Hope that helps!

I'm in the process of updating my blog. Still working on the guestbook and adding more icons (plus other stupid stuff to my blog). Apparently the php code is not working properly (*&%($&# you!!!). I guess I'm about to ruin your entire look, my poor blog. See... this wouldn't happen if you just let me write a long ass post and you just let me publish it for once! I'm telling you my blog ... if you don't behave ... I'm gonna keep doing stuff to you ... mwahahahaha.

HaPpY BiRtHdaY DeaR PaPa

Especially for you,
for the father we love,
for the one who helped us through all our childhood fears and failures,
and who's always there for us when we need someone to turn to

For the father whose devotion to his family
is more than what the world could ask for
All these years you have lent us your strong arms,
gentle strength, and guidance to help us through life's obstacles

In all the world,
There's no one else like you
The man who is a wonderful example of
what more men should be.

No words can express how grateful we are
to have a father like you
No action is ever enough to show you
how much we love you

.. And on your special day
We wish you Happy Birthday
May all your life filled with joy and happiness

We love you very much, Papa
Thank you for being you :)

JOE MILLIONAIRE

Who is out for love? Who is out for the money? Some of you or even... most of you, must have heard the buzz about this show on FOX that's on every Monday night at 9/8c. For those of you who's out of the loop or just plain careless about this "most degrading" show, let me tell you a little bit about it. A few months ago FOX have had this show called 'The Bachelor'. In general, The Bachelor was about a guy who's looking for his true love. He's the kind of guy who makes decent amount of money, well-spoken, clean cut, well-behave.. in short, the kind of guy that many women would dream of. Hard to believe right. When you think these kind of guys would get a girl in a snap.. they actually don't have the best luck with women. Anyway, back to the show, FOX picked 20-30 women out of hundreds and hundreds single women in America to join this show .. in hopes that one of these girls would turn out to be the "one" that the bachelor has been searching for.

Joe Millionaire sort of goes in the same line but it's more twisted. In a spin on the Bachelor, FOX takes Evan Marriott, a construction worker who makes $19,000 a year and sets up 20 women that believe he's a guy who just inherited 50 million dollars. The premise is for him to try to find someone who will like him for him, not the money. For any guy who has ever been told that he doesn't make enough money or isn't ambitious enough, this show is golden. Comedienne, Wanda Sykes said this show should be called, "bitches love money". Yeah, revenge on gold diggers. And that is totally true. But somehow I got this impression that this show is not only mocking gold diggers, it mocks other women as well... and that truely upsets me. This show is trying to generalized that all women are out for the money and when the money presence then love can be arranged. Honestly, I think most women are actually better than this. Not every woman craves for Benjamin and these days most women know how to earn their own dimes, anyway. But... there are these other women who think that money really makes the world go round. They search hi and low for their so called 'gold' and pretty much sacrifice everything (even dignity) to win his heart. It's so sad that more medias are exposing this dark side of (some) women and creating a perception that all women are like that. It's sad, don't u think? I don't wanna be portrayed that way and I'm sure most women would agree with me.

As for me, I don't blame those gold-diggers for wanting what they think is right. Asal diimbangin sama true love, I don't think it's such a big deal. To tell you the truth, I won't deny that when the day come for me to make a decision with whom I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with, I will take my partner's love and financial stability into account. A guy who is good with money and willing to work hard to earn it, really turn me on. Not stingy... just know how to spend and spend it right. He doesn't have to have 7 digits in his savings account as long as the statement shows a decent amount that's enough to support his future wife and family. *Reality check: who knows, perhaps someday when I have kids I won't be able to leave the house and go to work .. which means that the father will be the only source of income. If he's not prepared then we all will be in big big trouble.* I'm not being 'matre' or whatchamacallit. I want my family to live a decent life. I want my children to have the best education that this world can offer. I do not want to see my children living a miserable life. period! Long long time ago I asked my mom about 'cewe matre' and what she think of them. My mom used to tell me that being in love with a rich man is not wrong ... as long as he's the one who works for those dimes .. not his parents. Because marriage is not about having a blast all the time ... there will be time when things get rough and if you or your husband don't know how to bring home the bacon ... you two won't survive. Sebenernya cewek tuh gak salah kok kalo nyari cowok yang mampu... lagian siapa sih yang mau hidup susah yah namanya juga manusia. Tapi jangan terlalu mata duitan ngukur semuanya pake materi. Gak baik. Although it's somewhat nice to marry someone who makes tons of money, however, there are more to love than just money. Begitchu lowh kata ibunda saya. It's true, isn't it?

Weh... i'm getting way off the subject. Dari acara TV sampe ngomongin soal cewek matre. It's getting really long, too. Anyway, let me know what you think?
