Everybody needs a good laugh today.
BRAIN TRANSPLANTS
A British doctor says "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we
can take a brain out of one man, put it in another and have him looking for
work in six weeks."
A German doctor says, "That's nothing, we can take a brain out of one
person, put it in another and have him preparing for war in four weeks."
The American doctor, not to be outdone, says, "You guys are way
behind, we just took a man with no brain out of Texas, put him in the White
House, and now half the country is looking for work, and the other half
preparing for war."
Stupid me! I've heard it way too often for the last two days that I have to watch where I walk and how I walk because the sidewalk and roads are just damn slippery. They're all covered with ice. The temperature dropped down to 32F on Monday night and plus, it was raining overnight which made it a lot worse. Huh... gara2 groundnya cold banget jadinya ujannya jadi beku. Jadi deh es. Everywhere you looked all you could see was ice, ice, and ice. I decided to stay home yesterday and stay away from the road. I know how Texans drive. They think they have a big ol truck or a 4x4 that they could just run 80mph without thinking how it could affect others. Hello !!! You think every human being has 9 lives that they could spare on days like this! Morons, dumb-asses, fucking dickheads ... *okay Vanda, be nice .. * Anyway, I basically stayed home and did nothing yesterday. I almost starved to death because It was too damn cold to go down stairs to the kitchen, let alone cook.
So today, I decided to go to work. Seriously, I can't bare to lose anymore of my hours (nicer way of saying... I'm fucking broke). I was out the door at 12:45pm, walked very slowly to Emil's car, and sighed. Never knew it was a lot of work to try not to fall on the driveway. It was shocking to see traffics on the highway. The traffic was really bad not because it's peak hours but simply because everybody was driving slow. The highway was kind of slippery but, Thank God, I made it safe to work. (I hope everybody else did, too.) *phew* I was relieved that nothing happened on my way to or from work... until this incident took place. Have you ever heard that according to a study that was done years ago, the stats show that 90% of accidents actually occur around your home or neighborhood. *In other words, biasanya accident banyak terjadi di sekitar daerah tempat tinggal kita ... psychologically speaking biasanya kalo udah deket rumah orang jadi gak ati2 bawaannya pengen nyampe rumah atau gak karena kebiasaan lewat daerah yang familiar jadinya kurang ati2*. Ternyata terjadi pada diri gue sendiri bo! I remember Emil told me this morning that the ice hasn't totally melted so I have to be extra careful. But it was before we left the house ... hours ago. Who would remember, right? When we got home I rushed out the car and ran my way to the door. Suddenly... *gubrak* .. ouch... kepleset gue. Hiks... udah jatoh gitu jelas2 si emil baru bilang "ati2 jatoh". DUH! don't u think it's a little late now? Gue ampe gak bisa jalan. My ass is numb, my leg hurt so bad, and my hand is sore. Emil had to carry me upstairs and lay me down on my bed. Hiks hiks ... I got booboos on my knees and on my right hand. I learned my lesson today, unfortunately I had to do it the hardest way.

I just got back from Dallas yesterday morning . We were there for a farewell party and stayed in Dallas for a couple of nights. We left on Saturday evening and we went straight to the party once we got there. The party was okay. The host was planning to take everybody to the club but somehow going to the club thing didn't happen. Oh well ... I got the whole clubbing outfit ready taunya gak jadi. Anyway, they moved the party to one of the guy's house. Rame juga sih yang dateng dan kebanyakan pada bawa anjing. Kebayang deh tuh ramenya. Udah nama anjingnya kocak2 pula. Ada boomer, keiko, dolce (named after Dolce & Gabana... uhuy .. kenapa gak Prada sekalian), Kobi, etc. Udah mana pas gue dateng jeans gue digigit pula sama si Boomer dan gak mau dilepas. (Boomer, anjing banget seh loe !! You think I'm a DogChow!!) Gak ngerti deh tuh maksudnya laper apa doyan. Trus gak lama setelah gue masuk makin banyak deh tuh yang dateng. Partynya baru mulai sekitar jam 12an. Yah biasalah .. namanya juga party. Pada ketawa-ketiwi, poto2 (as usual), nyanyi2, makan2, minum2, dan cela2an. Rame lah intinya. Jam 5:30 pagi orang2 pada bubaran deh tuh termasuk gue ... dan itupun gak langsung pulang. Gue, Daisy, Emil, Yudi, dan Linda pada nongkrong dulu di IHOP. Jam 7 lewat dikit udah mulai deh tuh kerasa ngantuknya. Trus pulang ke tempatnya daisy (kakaknya Emil) dan tidur... baru bangun jam 2. Hebat yah! heheheh.
Hari itu rencananya cuma ke mall sama Daisy dan Emil ... trus dinner sama anak2 yang lain. Gue waktu itu pengen nyari jeans. Eh sumpah deh masa gue nyari jeans gak ada yang muat lagi. Gue ampe putus asa gitu akhirnya masuk Abercrombie & Fitch yang buat anak2. Wah mayan kan tuh biasanya modelnya lucu2 trus gak mahal2 banget. Pertama nyobain no. 16 (buat anak2 lowh)... lah.. kegedean. Trus turun jadi no. 14 ... masih kegedean juga. Trus nyobain no. 12 ... masih kegedean. Ah gila aja.. masa gue pake no. 10 buat anak2 ... it's so embarassing. Apa jangan2 sekarang gue udah tinggal tulang yah makanya si Boomer cinta mati ama gue. Huhuhu... sedih. Setelah capek keliling2 nyari jeans akhirnya kita bertiga hang out di Cheesecake Factory. Ngupi, nyemil, ngobs2. Abis itu nemuin anak2 di Korean BBQ. Gue makan kenyang banget niatnya sih biar nambahin lemak dikit... dikit aja... biar bisa beli jeans.. hihihih. Eh taunya gue pas nyampe ke rumahnya Daisy muntah2. Ih bete. Udah kenyang, mahal, eh musti muntah pula. Hihihi lagi di kamar mandi gitu abis muntah gue sempet2nya nimbang berat gue. Oh shoot... masa sekarang timbangan gue 90 lbs (40kg) padahal dulu terakhir gue nimbang berat gue 107lbs (48kg). Oh la la... pantesan aja sekarang jadi pada gak muat... huah... musti naikin nih 3 kilo lagi. Aduh pusink ah... berat turun salah... berat naik salah .... ah sutralah.
