Looking for a job in Jakarta is nothing but a joke. Don't get me wrong, it ain't easy, of course. Requirementsnya yang bikin gue mo ketawa. Let me tell you a few things:
1. Agama. Ngapain sih di job application musti nanyain religion. How's that relevant to my skills and work ethics. Gak penting banget deh. Ini sih namanya nyari2 masalah soal discrimination. What if an atheist happen to be one of the application, would he/she have to lie and make up his own religion? Emang pas gue job hunting di amrik mereka juga nanya soal race di job applicationnya. But as far as I know, THAT'S OPTIONAL!
2. Test IQ. Kasian amat yang IQnya jongkok. The only for them to find a job is either to start off his own company or KKN. aih kesian deh.
3. Passport Photos. Why? oh Why? Why photos? How can you tell people's personality just by looking at their pictures? It's considered judging a book by its cover. Don't they know that look is very very deceiving? Aneh. Dan dari yang gue denger2 dari photo, recruiter bisa tau kalo orang yang ngelamar itu kira2 jujur apa enggak? How would they know? Kalo idungnya pesek, bibirnya monyong, trus jidatnya jenong... itu artinya apaan? Ah suseh deh.
4. Transcript. Ini masih rada2 masuk akal sih. Tapi ngapain minta transcript kalo entarannya juga Test IQ. Ngerjain banget seh!
5. Mail in or drop off hard copy of resume and junks. Aduh... kapan yah bisa submit resume online buat company. Heran.. company gede juga gak ada yang punya tuh service. Alah alah.
Sue me if I sound too whiny. Try doing this everytime you look for a job. You'll be saying the same things. I BET YOU!
What's up with my boyfriend. Eversince I left the US he's been working like a dog. All of a sudden he's turning into this workaholic freak... hehehe... He came in to work at 9am last friday and didn't get off until 2am. He got me all worried. Please don't do it again, honey. If they make u stay that late again... tell them "kiss my ass. i need my beauty sleep yo!" Long weekend starts today. Make sure you tell them you'll be out of town (even if you're in town) so they won't be bugging you. Get some rest yah... jangan lupa mamam sama solat.

Gue baru pulang potong rambut. Ternyata pricingnya sama juga kayak di amrik. Apa gue salah masuk salon kali yak makanya mahal. Gak tau deh. Tapi pas lagi ngobrol2 gitu sama hairstylistnya gue iseng nanya, "Jer... loe bisa motong pendek kan soalnya gue takutnya hairstylist indo tuh kebanyakan jagonya motong rambut panjang." dengan cueknya dia bilang " ya iyalah.. mo tau kenapa cewek sini rambutnya panjang2? soalnya indonesian women kan kurang kerjaan. Punya waktu segudang buat ngurusin rambut... heheheh." Eh bener juga yak kalo dipikir2... hiahiaihahia....
Anyway, ada yang mo gue bahas dari dulu. Pas seminggu disini gue beli buku judulnya Jakarta Under Cover. Sex 'n The City. Main content sih ngebahas soal respond orang2 Jakarta tentang free sex and facilities buat 'jajan' tuh kayak gimana aja. Word of advice dari gue.... MENDING GAK USAH BELI. soalnya basi. Yang bagus pertama2nya aja.. tapi setelah dibaca ampe abis ... BASI and kayaknya it's a bunch of shit. So read my words ... FORGET ABOUT THE BOOK... kalo mo tau ... mending nanya ma cowok jakarta. Jawabannya bisa bikin loe pingsan!
